THE FREE DRINK WHORES

Caitlin and Melissa, in our final year at F&M, had dedicated ourselves to the fine arts of flamenco dancing and drinking for free. While engaging in these noble pursuits, Melissa came to hear of a trivia show at nearby Doc Holliday's where our years of accumulated worthless knowledge could win us gift certificates for free booze! Naturally, this intellectual means to a drunken end was worth checking out.

So one Monday night, after our bi-weekly flamenco hazing, we went to Doc's and almost immediately became devoted Curtis Earth Trivia groupies. Free drinks or not, we had lots of fun, and thanks to the wacky raffle, we accumulated killer 8-track collections.

Unfortunately, by the end of our semester, our free drinking pursuits had rotted our livers and Melissa had to flee to Boulder, CO to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming Stevie Nicks, while Caitlin went to Washington, DC to be haunted by visions of Mr. Shifferstein and Long Island Ice Teas in her dreams for all eternity.
