"The best place in town for an overstuffed sandwich."

-C. Earth

Thanks for checking out the music page, folks. We now have a few downloadable songs (in Real Audio format) for you to check out from my past recorded efforts. If you are interested in purchasing any of the following, please put your order in at the show or email us at curtisearth@hotmail.com.

I write, play and sing and one of my songs was listed in the semi-finals of Guitar Player Magazine's annual "Best Unsigned Band Contest." I made #200 out of 10,000 plus entries with the song "Ain't It Strange," which is on the Mad Hatters' album "Based on a True Story."

Discography of Curtis Earth:

45rpm-"Sky Lyte," by the band Sky Lyte

Liner notes: I played keyboards & sang back up. This was the first band I had that actually entered a recording studio (not counting the band "Destination" whose recorded effort I can't find anywhere and that's probably a good thing). I was 15 years old at the time and the band was mediocre at best but we were the most popular band in high school and girls used to scream for us at the talent shows.
Songs: "Hold Me" written by Ron Cascio (Real Audio; 656 K)
"Run," written by Curtis Earth and Ron Cascio
Recorded at Monkey Hill Recording Studios in Queens, New York

Album-"So Close," by the band So Close

Liner notes: This band lived together in a big house on Long Island (NY). It was basically one big party, I don't remember much of that time but it was probably a lot of fun. I do remember the recording sessions and I thought they were sounding nothing like us at all. I was disillusioned and left after having been with them for 4 years.
I played guitar and shared lead singing chores with the rest of the band. I did some good writing during my stint with So Close.

Songs: "Black and White"
"Can't Get Enough of You"
"Seperate Lives"
"Keep it Hot"
"Fire in Your Eyes"
"Could Take a Little While"
"Too Strong"
"Live Wires"
"There She Stands"
"Home"
"Marcopia"
Recorded at Reel Appeal Recording Studios, Commack, New York

Album-"Based on a True Story," by The Mad Hatters

Liner notes: The Mad Hatters were a three piece power trio, I played bass guitar and shared lead singing chores with the other two. The quality of this recording is clear but lacks punch, still I think the songs are great and both of my fellow band members were strong writers.

Songs: "Ain't It Strange" (Real Audio; 536 K)
"Trying"
"Feel It"
"Riddle"
"Won the Hand"
"Don't Fall For It"
"Can't Find a Reason"
"Always Want to Love You"
"Cold at Night/Reprise"
Recorded at RAINTREE Studios in Lebanon, PA.
Produced by Russ Diamond.
Available on STOP IT DOG Records (catalogue #9979)

Album-"Fluent," by Curtis Earth

Liner notes: This band was supposed to be a studio project for all the songs I had written since leaving the Mad Hatters. My drummer was Jim Darrach, guitar player-Brian Melsom.
I think we did a good job on "Fluent." We did end up doing some live shows, among them: Hot Z Pizza, the Catholic High School Fair, the Sertoma Chicken Barbeque, Manheim Central High School, and the Lititz Springs Park 4th of July celebration in 1997 and 1998- how's that for high caliber showcasing, folks?
The trivia thing started going from one to four nights a week and I had to break up the band (but not before I took them into the studio one last time-that album, "Chameleon Soup," is still sitting on my shelf at home waiting to be finished).

Songs: "These Four Walls" (Real Audio; 560 K)
"Enough"
"Sweet Angel"
"Living out a Dream"
"Street of Broken Dreams"
Recorded at Sound Cage Studios in Lancaster, PA.
Produced by Curtis Earth.
Additional personnel: Steve Gross, back up vocals
Elizabeth Groff, spoken part on track 3
